"Malta Island" the Republic of Malta, one of the smallest countires in the world, Southern European country consisting of an archipelago situated in the centre of the Mediterranean, 80 km south of Sicily (Italy) .. only 20 minutes by Boat ;)
So what is the meaning of ''Malta'' ?? The origin of the term Malta in Greek language is "honey" possibly due to Malta's unique production of honey, another theory suggests that the meaning is "haven"" in reference to Malta's many bays and coves. That's why they call it Island of Honey or Island of Haven.
Malta is just small but lovely island, it's a mix of different cultures of Greek, Romans and Arabs, , along with perfect location and nice weather.

I will just let you go through some comments from Malta visitors, from their real experiences.
Diane Cornforth, Lancs: Don't miss the stunningly situated prehistoric temple, Hagar Qim, as well as several other outdoor sites. Above all, try to visit the underground temple, Hypogeum. Visitor numbers are very restricted so book in advance or go for opening time when you can take the place of pre-booked non-arrivals. An amazing experience, though it remains an almost secret destination.
St Julians: "In Europe they drive on the right, in Britain you drive on the left, in Malta
we drive in the shade" – a uniquely Maltese comment: there is nothing quite like
Malta or the Maltese people – part European, part Arabic, and English-influenced
(plugs fit and no language problems): the country is warmhearted, welcoming and
addictive. Nowhere is far from anywhere else and you can travel all over the island from
Valletta to Mdina and everywhere in between for a few euros on the vintage
yellow and white buses.
